FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Lessons are always once a week on the same day and at the same time, with the same teacher. Lesson lengths are 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes, depending on the age and level of the student.

WHEN DO YOU CONDUCT LESSONS?

We teach Monday-Sunday, and the hours we teach are 11:00am-8:00pm MON-FRI, 9-12 and 1-3pm on Saturdays, and 9-1pm on Sundays.

We follow the Pennsbury School District closings for inclement weather. We do not teach on holidays.

HOW LONG SHOULD STUDENTS PRACTICE?

Students are expected to practice in order to progress in a satisfactory manner. All students need an instrument for practice. Practice should happen everyday, at the same scheduled time (for children, after homework). Practice time depends on the level/age of the student. Parents of young children should expect spending the practice time with their son/daughter. If you have questions about practice, let us know.

WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES? HOW DO YOU BILL FOR LESSONS?

Lessons are purchased by the month. Group lessons are purchased by the semester. There is a $5 late fee for late payments.

There are no refunds. No exceptions.

WHAT IF I CAN NOT MAKE IT TO A LESSON?

There is a 24 hour cancellation policy to not be charged for the lesson. There is a 2 hour sick cancellation policy. There are no credits issued, but make up lessons. There are no make up lessons for group lessons, including KINDERMUSIK and MUSIC FOR LITTLE MOZARTS.

If there are excessive absences (1 or more per month on a consecutive basis), this can result in forfeiture of lesson time.

WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS TO CHANGE HIS LESSON FOR OTHER ACTIVITIES?

If you make a decision to pursue lessons, it is strongly advised to find a lesson time that will work for the entire year. It is very difficult for us to move lesson times to accommodate other activities.

DO YOU DO RECITALS/EVALUATIONS?

We have recitals 2 times a year (December and June). Though it is not required, we strongly recommend all students participate, as it is a valuable part of music education.

Depending on the instrument, and upon the request of the student/parent, evaluations are given to ensure students are making adequate progress.

CAN I TRY OUT ONE LESSON?

We can do a test lesson, but there is a consultation fee of $50.00. We do not issue gift certificates.

DO YOU TEACH ADULTS?

Yes. It is never to late to start learning music.
